The Beginning of the End...

It is 1176, and a brilliant nation lies on the threshold of catastrophe.

Descend to ground zero in the most catastrophic event of the Second Age, where the world is about to fall to its knees from the loftiest heights. In this glittering era, mages expand the Art without limitations, human shadows cross Arborean vales, and pioneers explore to the very edges of the known world. The Flame of the Black Diamond, the kingdom of Firandir thrashes in the throes of death as devils walk its lands and powerful forces tear the Dominion asunder in a struggle for control. The powers that be sense the change in the winds and amass their guardians and reapers, warlords and peacemakers.

A destiny hangs in the balance, and it will be your hand to guide it to destruction or redemption.

Join us and decide the fate of Firandir, and the fate of the world.

A Handful of Stars

"'Tis an Age of glory, my friend, unrivaled in all the years gone before. Well and so; the knowledge gained in our years came with much labour and toil. We've come to appreciate the value of even the slightest mote of the High Art because of our struggles for understanding and mastery. Is it not a testament to our civilization that even the humblest farmer in his field can entertain dreams of sending his daughter to Rhanadan's Campanile for instruction if she shows talent or a spark of light dancing around her fingertips? Fine education and keen acumen hone the erudite minds of our era. We have delved deeply into the secrets of the world, and marvel at their complexity and grandeur. Truly, it is a great time to bear the blessing of the Lady of the Spheres!"

"Firandir falls into ruin as our cities teem with mercenaries and lords beholden to none but their own ambition. Our leaders hold court with devils and filthy Veluakir priests, sharing the spoils of our back-breaking labour. Deceit fills the ears of men drunk on power, drowning out the keening and despairing of refugees abandoned by those we trusted to guard us. Truly, this miserable era hoists greed and treachery as its pennons, and all with goodness in their hearts look upon them and despair. Our king lies dead, his heir barely upon a byre and already betrayal has riven this land in twain! We have forsaken our traditions, and turned away from their fairness and benevolence! Truly, it is a terrible time to carry the mark of the Redeemer. How far we descend!"

"Say what you will of this land; while those truly cowardly at heart occupy it, others blessed by the strength and majesty of the Fiend Prince will see change wrought. We cannot pretend to sit by uncaring while fools squander our resources and traipse us all down a path of mutual destruction. Petty conflicts bleed away our vitality and leave a proud people staggering and mortally wounded while our weak, snivelling masters quibble over the scraps. Even as we watch the decline of our civilization, its salvation and an end to the Rhydemunite penury already stands before us. We need only the courage and conviction to reach out and seize the opportunity Eldanoth provides! The dawn of a new era breaks over the horizon, awaiting the bold, the valiant and the mighty to embrace that coming. Are you with us or not?"

17 February 2006 Our mirror for Ennersea's website is largely complete, until the web server comes back online. We hope to provide some resolution by the end of the weekend, depending on how serious the problem is (a hardware issue versus a hard drive issue). We all hope for intact, safe hard drive. In the meantime, you should be able to access the majority of files on the website although they may not be the most recent incarnation(s). Please bear with any changes or alterations necessarily, although the core information on races, classes, faiths and such underwent very little change.

As of 6.30 PM CST, the Ennersea boards are currently online, and the application system is working. If you spot any problems, please inform an administrator.

15 February 2006 Ennersea's web server went down during the day, limiting web access to the website and the forums. The game is not affected. We have contacted the data center and discovered the problem to be with the server itself and not our website host; however, at this time, they cannot be really sure whether the problem is with the server box itself or something internal, like the hard drive. We understand the inconvenience this causes and extend our apologies to the commnuity. You can connect to the game still, and we will post updates as soon as they are available.

Ongoing Projects At any given time, Ennersea's administration is hard at work on a wide variety of projects and tasks behind the scenes. In addition to support roleplay and handling the day to day affairs of the game, we divert our energy into a diverse array of jobs with the aim of improving the game. This list changes according to our progress, so check back periodically to see what the administrators are up to today.

  • Code: New CharGen in development.
  • Factions: Organization on Lord of Tyranny; When Moons Wept plots.
  • PrCs: Focus on the black-knight and shaman.
  • Staff meeting: March meeting to keep everyone on track.
  • Training: Recruitment of new DMs and training new.

14 February 2006 Happy Valentine's Day to everyone! We have a bustle of activity ongoing in the community, and thoroughly encourage you to participate in one of our many plots. Symphony is orchestrating the City Council nominations with a voting booth in the OOC Nexus of the game. Everyone is entitled to nominate up to five individual players (except your alts) and nominations close on 17 February. She asks that you please keep in mind suitable candidates, and nobles cannot run for the Council. Voting will commence on 21 February.

Serpent, our recent award winner for Best Plotline Creator continues with her Lifeweaver and Abyssal Seals plots, pitting characters of good and evil persuasion in a countdown before calamity.

Banner and Knight continue terrorizing the beleaguered residents of the Demakore Forest. The call for heroes goes up to defend the innocent or perhaps take unfair advantage of their perilous situation! Self-proclaimed "lords" appear to think the forest is their territory, much to the dismay of the Sapphire Circle. Further, Nirhanval's famed Leaping Stag Lodge almost burned to the ground, a cause for further displeasure.

Ghirardelli will begin a new thread for the Lord of Tyranny metaplot with Banner and Serpent's assistance. Keep your eyes open for upcoming events and developments.
